If you saw my post the other day, one my wardrobe additions for early fall is a pair of 70s inspired flared jeans. They feel very Jane Birkin to me, which is always a good thing in my book. (And yes, smoking causes cancer, but I believe this is the best image to illustrate.) I bought the Nili Lotan Celia jean; it comes in stretch or 100% cotton–I always favor the latter, plus the wash is slightly better. She also has another style with front patch pockets, but I find the Celia more slimming on me. You can also get them at various price points. I didn’t include a Celine pair here, but the Loewe are a good contender if you want to splurge, while the Levi’s version look plenty good too and are far more affordable. Some style notes: A somewhat fitted or cropped shirt is best (nothing super blouson or baggy) and for shoes, I prefer a boot or even a ballet flat.
