Cooler temperatures means a bit more makeup and companies like Westman Atelier and Glossier have both launched new eye shadows, so I’ve decide to dive in a bit. I have the Westman Atelier set of Eye Pods in Les Jours and I like them (though I do find that as they sit in my makeup bag, the tops routinely become unscrewed), the colors are basic enough for me to use them regularly. The new color trio called Rendezvous has a khaki green, a pink and a brown. If you go on their IG account, there are tips on how to use them. Because I’m obsessed with the idea of a green eyeshadow, when I saw the huge insert in the NY Times this weekend from Glossier which featured their new palettes in singular shades, each with three different textures–matte, satin and metallic, and they had green, I decided to order them instead of the Westman. There are 10 palettes to choose from and I also ordered Almond, a rosy brown which is good for everyday. Now if I can get my younger daughter to teach me how to apply them well….
