A while back, when I ran a post on my Spring Wardrobe Essentials, I briefly discussed white jeans, which to me, are a year-round staple, but especially necessary in the warmer months. I have an old pair of white Levi 501’s that are slightly cropped but wanted a longer pair, in subtler shade, and these cream Juliet jeans from Nili Lotan were my final purchase. I like them because they have a slight bootcut but are also slightly looser on top than her Celia jean (they have no stretch). I do think a more relaxed jean is the way to go. Plus, skinny white jeans have long been a hard no in my book–they look more country club than cool, and frankly, they aren’t flattering on most of us. My summer wardrobe is going revolve around a lot of white and beige (with a shot of black and maybe color), and I will post on it soon, because I do find that if you like minimalist designs, summer is somehow the hardest month to navigate. Stay tuned! And maybe see you next Wednesday at my NYC trunk show!

Can you share some suggestions as to how to wear? I bought them but am having trouble figuring out what to wear with them besides a nice t-shirt. And shoes with wider leg? Thanks!

Besides a tee or a striped Mariner, I like a tank with an un-buttoned button-down layer over, or a short-sleeve shirt (I have a few of the Channing from Xirena), a belt helps–then sneakers, Birks, K Jacques sandals, ballet flats….I think you can almost wear anything that is flat. Hope this helps!
