This is the first of a few scattered posts on my summer can’t-live-withouts. First is a pair of classic Birkenstock Arizona‘s. They’re affordable, hold up well (this pair is 5-years-old and counting), and I wear them everywhere and with everything–with shorts to walk the dog, with dresses when I have a day running around the city or sightseeing. I have white leather, taupe suede, and have my eye on a black pair. Birkenstock also does great collaborations….from the colorful and textured versions with the uber chic Italian hotel Il Pellicano, to Corso Como graphic scribbles (which you can’t buy online, but I saw them at the Birk store in Soho recently).
Summer also means a red nail. I am very picky about reds and won’t use any of the Essie polishes at the nail salon, I prefer to bring my own. Chanel’s Arancio Vibra is a bright orange/red that is perfect with a slight tan.
I’m looking forward to hearing your summer essentials! Summer fashion is my least favourite of the seasons and I struggle with it.
Love Birkenstock Arizona sandals. Does your sandal have a white or black sole? I was looking online for a similar pair.

Just curious…why won’t you use any of the Essie polishes at your nail salon? Hygiene concerns?
I do for natural shades but for reds–I am super picky!
