While warm-weather vacation dressing is the time to bring out vibrant colors in your wardrobe, sometimes I prefer the subtlety of something monochromatic. And white on white (or ivory on ivory) is, by far, my favorite. A lightweight turtleneck and shorts feel very Babe Paley/Lee Radziwill to me—a kind of restrained chic. Toss on a bit of gold, a straw hat and the simplest sandals—I can’t imagine anything better.
