I love turtlenecks, both heavy-knit ones with jeans and slim-fit versions with everything—pants, jeans, skirts. The slim fit ones feel very Seventies to me, especially worn with one or two long pendant necklaces and a fitted blazer. I’m not a fan of spending a lot of money on turtlenecks, you just need a decent basic; mine are all from J. Crew and Uniqlo and they are in constant rotation in my wardrobe. Plus turtlenecks are warm. Since half the country is already in a deep freeze (something I am not ready for), you need all the warmth you can get!
