Fine jewelry designer Emily Satloff has such a unique, elegant, romantic aesthetic, when I visit her at her studio, I always feel as if she is a modern-day Jane Austen heroine who has time traveled into the 21st century. I might be a minimalist at heart, but her feminine viewpoint is just so glittering and pretty, I am always drawn in. Now she’s expanded her vision to include a whimsical home decor collection with limited edition jewelry to match. (Which can shop on her site here, even just take a look to see her wallpaper, Emily’s Garden, come to life.)
“My background is in the history of decorative arts and I’ve always loved home,” says Emily. “So after designing Larkspur & Hawk for ten years, I wanted other ways to express myself. Cosmically, I came across Melissa White, who is a wallpaper artist in the U.K. I really didn’t know what I was asking for when I approached her, but I approached her about two years ago to collaborate on a bespoke wallpaper, that I knew I would put in the showroom. I knew it would kick start something bigger for me, and I knew there would be jewelry that would go along with it.”
From the wallpaper to the hand-embroidered napkins, to one-of-a-kind painted boxes, to porcelain pieces (another collaboration with a UK artist who specializes in Staffordshire revival), plus a line of whimsical animal based jewels including custom animal rings, for which you send in a photo of your favorite furry beast which is then transformed into an heirloom-worthy ring, each design is more delightful than the next. And if you just want to dip your toe into Emily’s world, you can always start with her playful correspondence cards.

I’m just happy to see someone that designs cat items and not just dogs! Delightful.
