One of the most exciting opportunities I’ve had was to interview astronaut Jessica Meir, who is scheduled for her first mission to the International Space Station later this month, as the features editor for the elegant art and style magazine Pan & The Dream. (I also interviewed other amazing women for the magazine, which I will share with you. You can pre-order the magazine online now, but sadly because of timing, we could only get Jessica’s story online. )
Jessica is one of those rare people who dreamt of becoming an astronaut when she was a little girl and through hard work and determination saw that five-year-old’s dream come to fruition. On the 25th, she will be the co-captain for the next flight of the Russian Soyuz (NASA’s Space Shuttle is no longer in commission) and spend 6 months on the ISS conducting science experiments and, fingers crossed, a space walk.
