One thing I am looking forward to doing this weekend, and more regularly as the weather turns colder, is having a nice, long, hot bath. Because I exercise most mornings, baths don’t happen—there isn’t enough time. Plus I never splurge on bath products. But I’ve been wanting to try the new bath bars from Binu Binu, especially the Seshin Korean Scrub Soap, an exfoliating soap which is supposed to give you the ‘revelatory, cleaner-than-clean Korean body scrub experience’; also on my list is the organic bath oil from Austrian spa owner/organic skincare guru Susanne Kaufmann. Shiva Rose bath salts sold out on CapBeauty, so they must be good; luckily you can find them on Shiva’s site. And finally, Caudalie Divine Oil is something I use post-shower year round. I love the smell and it leaves my skin hyper moisturized. If you want something a bit more luxe, another option is to go soak somewhere else. The Shibui Spa at the Greenwich Hotel, pictured above, offers seasonal soaks (fall’s is ‘juniper berry oil, frankincense, Himalayan cedar and ho leaf to induce absolute relaxation and open the heart center’) for one or two people. With all the stress so many of us are experiencing these days, a quiet, relaxing, indulgent bath seems like the most welcome respite.
