In the new T Magazine the cover story photos of architect Vincenzo De Cotiis’s Milanese home are gorgeous. The Milanese have a unique flair and interior style that is almost impossible to describe–their homes don’t fit into neat and tidy design trends, they love colors that are vibrant, rich, and sometimes a little off, and they mix and match shiny and matte, organic and elegant, colossal and tiny. Their rules for decorating seem to be that there are none. Cotiis’s home made me also think of the work by Dimore Studio, a Milanese-based firm run by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran who would by my interior design dream team, the beautiful home Villa Necchi Campigio, a villa in Milan built in the 30s which I have been lucky enough to have visited during a Della Valle/Tod’s event years back, and the work of furniture/jewelry designer Gabriella Crespi from the 70s. Here photos from all….
