If you love peeking into the homes and lives of glamorous people from the past (like I do), the bookย Around That Time: Horst at Home in Vogue is an absolute must. (And if you are lucky enough, you may still be able to pick up a copy signed by Vogue editors Hamish Bowles, who wrote the foreword, and Ivan Shaw, who produced the book, at the Gagosian Bookstore on Madison Avenue.)
Yves Saint Laurent, Elsa Peretti (above), Billy Baldwin, Deeda Blair, Valentino and Pauline de Rothschild are just a few of the impressive roster of style-setters and their homes who are featured in the book. From classic, to modernist to bohemian print-on-print extravaganzas, there is so much inspiration to find and enjoyment to be had in this book it is almost mind-boggling. I cannot wait to curl up in bed and take it all in. This is going to be a coffee table book for the ages.
