Yesterday I wrote about creating a zero waste wardrobe and beyond a good natural-leather colored tote, the best Spring/Summer bags are lightweight and made of natural materials. Mid-April might seem a little early to run this, but it is warm somewhere, and these bags will more than likely be gone come June.
I love Dragon Diffusion bags made out of woven leather (left image), especially the lattice work styles. You might want to throw a scarf inside that can serve as a lining and will immediately personalize the bag. The Cult Gaia bags are becoming rather ubiquitous, but I still like them, especially the large size (shown center). Plus the price is right—all bamboo options are under $140. I am a little late to the game with Bembien bags (right), which are handcrafted by global artisans and have a do-good give back component to each sale. I am especially fond of the Marfa style (natch). These are equally as affordable and almost all (except for one) are under $200. They are reminiscent of quirky old-fashioned Nantucket Lightship baskets yet have a modern twist.
