I loosely pay attention to the fashion shows, mostly because there is far more that doesn’t grab my attention than does. But this Bottega Veneta show by the new designer Matthieu Blazy (his second collection) did. Especially these two looks. I have been waiting for someone to get us back into skirts and dresses that hit just below the knee and skim the body. No ruffles, no 25 yards of fabric wafting about you. And for delicate layers. In fact, I saw a young woman last weekend who was wearing a similar silhouette with a delicate raw edge peaking out at the hem and I wanted so much to know where her dress was from (but didn’t ask, it wasn’t the right setting). These aren’t groundbreaking clothes. They are elegant and cool. And the accessories are great as well, see details below. I would spend money on clothes like this.
