Sometimes it’s the easy pieces that are hardest to find. For me, that has been a pair of pull-on, lightweight linen pants–something that would be a good go-to during this current heat wave. Yesterday, it was an unplanned walk-through a James Perse boutique that I discovered them. They are under $200, come in several colors (I bought pigment, pictured but lighter in color than in image, and black), and are what I will be wearing a la Angelina today when the temperature hits 96.
James Perse linen lounge pants, $195; Rag & Bone tank, $95; Jennifer Alfano baby bullseye diamond studs, $2900; Caddis Hooper readers, $109; Jennifer Alfano XL Mariner Link bracelet, $12,150; TKEES sandals, $55.

I have been looking for the exact same thing the last few summers. Heading to JP today.
Thank you!

That always seems to be the way. BTW, I noticed the book by Amor Towles. I will have to get that one. He’s such a wonderful writer. Have you read any of his other books? I highly recommend A Gentleman in Moscow.
jennifer says
Yes I read A Gentleman in Moscow and Rules of Civility and loved them both. This one will be next!

One of the TFI readers asked earlier this summer about what to wear under the toteme tank top. After experimenting with this question all summer, I have come up with a couple of ideas that work. One is the FDL Keaton cami in cream, which I wear with a regular bra. The other is the cotton print bras from the La Boheme store in Santa Fe. Hope this helps other TFI readers!

Thank you for this info! I have actually been talking to someone about bras to wear under tanks and sheer tees–hope to have more answers soon too.
