I might be clomping around in NY’s icy mess in my lug soles now, but once the weather warms up, I am ready to get back into some feminine sexy shoes. Sure, I will be in Stan Smiths and my moc crock Birkenstocks (which are now on sale) most of the time, but I am taking advantage of what seems to be a return to Manolo Blahnik shoes as I like them. Sexy, not outrageously high (the heels are 3.5″ which I can actually walk confidently in), perfect with the simplest black pants and a tee or a dress. In fact, I have a 20+ year pair of Manolo little heel sandals I was going to ask if they would remake, but these Susa sandals are perfect.
Manolo Blahnik Licenzata heel, $995; Manolo Blahnik Susa sandal, $675 (for some reason it says “sequined” on BG’s site, they aren’t; they are black leather as shown.)

You often post on what I was thinking about…as I’ve told you. I was looking at flat, but “better than Birks” sandals this morning online, and with your ethos in mind, ordered The Row Geri sandals, as they will sort of up the look of my summer dresses, go with all of them, and are classic enough to last for years. I love the MB Susa sandal, but can’t really walk in heels.
