Who is (beyond) ready to get dressed up a bit and go out for dinner? As the weather in NYC warms up so dining outside no longer requires a wool blanket, down parka and snow boots and more and more people are getting vaccinated (I get my second dose this coming weekend), I am plan to dine out a lot and cannot wait to put some real clothes on. I still like the idea of something clean and simple; this outfit feels very Carolyn Bessette Kennedy to me. Also, now that I am slowly building back a handbag wardrobe, I like the idea of these little bags for evening. The one at bottom, is from a new line called Savette by designer Amy Zureck, who created bags at Khaite and The Row. I want to see one in person, but find them quite chic. Then, if I needed some go out shoes (I don’t because I have some Bottega ones that didn’t get many miles last Spring) I would grab these classic heels from Louboutin, which cut slightly asymmetrically across the foot. Years back, I had a similar style from him that were subtly sexy and I wore them out. For clothes? Jeans, a silk shirt, a blazer or jacket and a bit of bling.

If I could afford this I’d buy the pieces and call it a decade – this is a perfect closet in miniature, super elegant proportions that can’t look dated or uncool.

We had our second vaccine a week and a half ago and plan to have dinner with friends soon. They’ve been vaccinated as well. I’ve planned an outfit similar: white jeans, black silk blouse and a tanish blazer. We haven’t eaten out in a year.
