Lesson in Layering

We are hitting that transition period between Winter and Spring where you can usually ditch the heavy duty coat in favor of layers. What I layer tends to be fairly predictable, so I am drawn to how these women at the current shows are mixing it up—sweater dresses over pants, oversized hoodies with other tactile layers, even lighter coats over coats. Then there are the details such as a pushed up trench coat sleeve to show a blazer peeking out, or even just tying your blazer at your waist. Some are easy, others a bit more extreme—I am going to play around with what’s already in my closet and see if I can’t hit the refresh on layering it up.
