I don’t buy magazines often anymore, but I had to pick up the latest British Vogue with Angelina Jolie on the cover. It was an article and fashion shoot that I truly enjoyed on many levels. One–the fashion is good, in that it’s simple, streamlined, and Jolie even mixed in a few of her own pieces. Plus it’s still very glamorous–the makeup, the jewelry; no one can deny she has that old school Hollywood glamour, and there isn’t much of that around anymore. I love that Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful encouraged her to wear her own pieces and asked her about it (see her quotes below). That feels modern. The second part of what makes this article so good is it focuses on Jolie as a mother and woman with a career who straddles making super hero movies with helping others in need (she’s been a special enjoy the UN Refugee Agency for 20 years). I would happily wear what she’s wearing (not that I will ever look anything like she does–see my picks below) and can only imagine how incredible her home must be (it’s the former residence of Cecil B. DeMille). You can read the full article here, and there are a couple of fun videos (and this one) to accompany it as well.

It’s been interesting to watch her style develop and evolve since her punk/rock-style 20s. Interesting journey.

I know this article is a bit dated, but her style is as classic as ever. I’m so gonna copy!
