New York fashion week is over. I haven’t posted anything about the clothes, because you can find it all on Vogue.com, plus who’s seriously worried about buying anything for next Spring when chances are you haven’t bought much, or anything yet, for this fall? I do love a good street style photo. But they can be few and far between because so many women completely overdo it—once you’re out of your experimental college phase, you shouldn’t try that hard.
In every photo I chose, the women are wearing pants. Perhaps a subconscious choice, because once it cools down, that is almost all I wear. Plus I spent so much time this summer in dresses, I’m ready to cover up a bit. These photos offer some good solutions for transition dressing—like Doutzen Kroes’ monochromatic ivory top and pants, or a jeanatard (as my daughters call it), which is really denim and denim, on the ever chic Annina Mislin. And a checked blazer, which I posted on earlier, is turning out to be a key item this season as you can see.
