Sometimes the simplest combinations are the best, such as a white shirt and jeans. Of course getting it right, like Mary-Kate Olsen does here, means finding the right proportions and paying attention to details. Instead of a plain white button-down, why not try a blouse with a different color and/or sleeve? Looser-fitting jeans are here to stay, and faded washes look right now. (A white shirt and faded jeans are even better when you’re a little sun-kissed like MK is here. Sadly, I will have to make do with bronzer. ) The simplest black bag and a pair of mules complete the look. I wish it was warm enough in NYC to walk around like this now, but it won’t keep me from wearing the same combo and just replacing mules with boots and adding a cashmere layer over my shirt.
