I recently suggested a couple of COS dresses for someone, which turned out to be be not at all what they looked like online, and instead, the woman bought this dress, in camel. It looks so good on her, I went out and bought one in black. (It is an affordable $125.) If you look at it on the model online, the photos don’t do it justice; it is not loose like appears, but has a fitted torso and flared sleeves and a relaxed hem that makes it super flattering. Plus it is a soft knit fabric so it feels good on.
I’d like to say I’m going to wear it out everywhere January and February, but sadly with the spiking COVID surge, I think I’ll be wearing it at home in lieu of sweatpants. (The camel is sold out online, but if there is a COS store near you, they might have it; they did in NYC….I bought a small.)
Bottega Veneta glasses, $345; Ganni boots, $285; COS dress, $125; White Album book, $14; Deborah Pagani hair cuff, $85; Falke socks, $120; Johnstons of Elgin cape, $375.

You are correct, it is a very flattering and useful dress for many occasions. I just checked cos online, they have a small left, but no medium. I usually wear a size 8in dresses. Do you think the small would fit me? I am fairly busty….
Thanks so much,
Lu

I have those Gianni boots from last year and they’re fantastic. Thanks, once again, for keeping it real here….I never feel I’m reading about an alternate universe of glittering NYE outfits.

I tend to shop a lot at COS and must say most of their pieces are really nice…

Absolutely love that dress – thank you!

Cos is one of those places where it’s hard to order online because some pieces are oversized or have unusual fits. It’s inconsistent with sizing but they have some really great things and look much more pricey than they are.

The black cape you suggested arrived last night. It’s perfect – the only cape I need. I can dress it up, down, it’s cozy, covers enough, and feels fun with the fringe. Thank you for the suggestion!
