If you haven’t noticed, Jane Birkin is a perennial style icon that I reference again and again. While I love the straw bucket bag (was it even a bag?) she carried year round, I would feel conspicuous in a trying-too-hard kind of way if I carried a similar one. What I am going to take with me everywhere this summer? This Heidi Wynne Marella satchel, which she named in part after another style icon, Marella Agnelli, because of “her love of wicker and her timeless elegant style.” The bag is the perfect size, price–$175, and comes with a jaunty multi-tasking, black-and-white polka dot scarf tied at the handle. Which style muse you want to emulate is your choice (or you could also rotate your inspo…just saying).

Hi Dina–I can fit my sunglasses, reading glasses, small wallet, keys, iPhone, lip balm in it with a little room to spare.
