How much time do you devote to exercise? Eating right? Getting your hair blown out? Your nails done? Massages? And how much money do you put into these efforts? How about visits to your dermatologist for age-defying treatments?
Then compare that to how much time, effort (and money) you put into the basics of taking care of your skin. Maybe you do, but it’s an area where many women skimp. And it’s an area where you really shouldn’t. Because while exercise, eating right and sleep do help your skin, the other self-care rituals are just the icing on the cake. You need a good base to start with. Your skin is the largest external organ in your body. Cleansing and nourishing it with the right products isn’t an indulgence, you should consider it a necessity. And you should be very aware of what you are using to do this.
This is why I can’t wait for this Wednesday’s talk with Shrankhla Holecek, founder of UMA Oils. (If you are in NYC please come. See invite below.) Shrankhla has deep understanding of essential oils and the different benefits these efficacious natural ingredients offer (and the dangers, essential oils are potent). Having a better understanding of what your body needs, and paying attention to what you use is something you owe yourself.
