I never heard of the photographer Martine Franck, who married one of the most extraordinary photographers of the 2oth century–Henri Cartier Bresson in 1970, until I read a short piece on her upcoming exhibition in Paris in WSJ. Magazine. Not only was I immediately drawn to her photography (not shown here), but also her. I found these portraits of her, all by Henri. Martine is so enigmatic on camera and there is such an intense, beautiful visual narrative to each picture. Her style is simple, but unforgettable. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do and if you’re lucky enough to be heading to Paris soon, that you can take the time to see her exhibition.
