On my cultural To Do List this month:
- A visit to the renovated MOMA that reopens on the 21st, where they changed their format by mixing eras and genres of art instead of grouping them in their usual categories. It seems like a modern approach and am wondering if it might inspire me in a different way than usual (the museum can be quite inspiring in the first place).
- I am looking forward to dinner at King Restaurant in Soho, which is not new, but I have been so lazy about making reservations; it has been on my list for a while.
- Don’t miss Pierre Soulages at Levy Gorvy. I popped in the other day when I was on the Upper East Side. It is amazing that the French artist, who turns 99 this coming Christmas Eve, is still as relevant and modern as ever.
- On my bedside table are Anne Patchett’s latest novel, The Dutch House, which I am thoroughly enjoying and the newest issue of my favorite women’s magazine, The Gentlewoman.

The Dutch House is on my list, as well. I eagerly await Anne Patchett’s new offerings!

I’m loving The Dutch House as well…so good. Coming to NY soon, and excited to see MOMA after it reopens. It’s an interesting concept mixing eras and genres and will definitely make one see the art in a different sort of way.
