If you were going to buy one boot this season, I would choose a version similar to these, a chunky heel (trust me they are quite comfortable and I rarely wear heels these days), a fitted shape around the ankle and a pointed or squared-off toe (not classic rounded). An added plus, they work with everything–dresses, skirts, jeans, and pants. There are so many options out there, you should be able to find one at a price point that works for you. I also don’t see this shape going out of style anytime soon, making them a worthy investment.

By far my favorite style boot style. At my age it’s a chunky heel and rare high heel too!

I second that, Mary Beth! I’m pulling out my Loeffler Randall’s for Fall and expecting that they’ll go with everything.
