What’s not to love about a camel coat? It’s so simple, yet so luxurious and impactful, it immediately upgrades anything you’re wearing. Through it over jeans and a turtleneck, a printed dress, sweats, your nightgown for carpool, it adds an instant, glamour factor. My favorite style is a bathrobe like the Toteme above and below; I also love the deep, rich camel shade Toteme uses. The ultimate camel coat is Max Mara’s Manuela. While I bought a bathrobe style from Acne Studios a couple of years ago, the Max Mara is still on my wish list. Maybe next year (it’s a perennial). If a wrap doesn’t appeal to you, choose a more tailored Chesterfield style like the Acne below, a pea coat or a cape. If you want crazy cozy, the Max Mara Teddy coat, is a splurge but should keep you warm no matter what the weather. Below, some options and inspiration.
