Worn casually with jeans, or dressed up with dark trousers, loafers are one of the most timeless, versatile shoes for fall. I just bought my first pair of Gucci horsebit Brixtons in black, shown below, which have a fold-down heel so you can also wear them as slides. (Sometimes I am late to the game, or there are other wardrobe priorities.) They are beyond comfortable. I also like the higher vamp which has become the de facto style for many other designs. The Bottega Veneta ombre are quite amazing too—with chunky, earth-tone turtlenecks and jeans. (They are popular; there are few pairs left.) And the Vince velvet are gorgeous and a good price point.
