Because I am so excited to dress up again, it’s another post on creating an evening uniform. My current new evening obsessions are lace-trimmed camisoles and a sparkling pair of hoops. My constant go-tos are a tuxedo jacket, classic black pants and pumps. For more casual get-togethers I envision the camisole peeping out of a wide v-neck sweater (you could steal one from the boys). In fact, I even like the idea of wearing a lace camisole during the day under your sweater; no one needs to know but you. I did this in Paris under my cashmere sweaters, it feels divine.
Then a glittery hoop, not real diamonds, mind you. There are several pairs I like besides the ones posted here (which are on sale), such as these and these and these.
I plan on dressing up as often as I can and have no qualms about being a bit over-dressed for the occasion. Everything feels so ephemeral these days, so I am taking every opportunity to celebrate.
Toteme blazer, $840; Raey camisole(which also comes in all black), $491; Saint Laurent trousers, $890; Amina Muaddi hoops, $432; Aquazzura pumps, $750; Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady parfum, $250.

Now that you’ve had a chance to try your mini Jodie, what is your opinion?

It was a worthy purchase. The shape is unusual so if you carry a lot of things, it’s not optimal for you, but I do not, and I like that it fits on your wrist so you don’t have to hold it (like you do with clutches) and the tactile quality and squishiness of it is appealing to me. Hope that helps!
