I don’t know who this woman is that photographer Phil Oh shot during the recent couture shows in Paris (anyone?), but I love the confident ease of her outfit. It feels somewhat Seventies (no doubt why I’m so into it), but still 100% modern. And in case you haven’t noticed, I’m not one for frills, so finding tailored ways to wear more feminine pieces is something I gravitate towards. Choosing a skirt with unusual details with a not-so-basic trench and a fitted turtleneck seems like an easy go-to combination. Note the vibrant blue bag tucked under her arm, it gives something so classic that extra punch. (I couldn’t find one in a color close enough….wondering if it’s Chanel.)
SEA checked trench, $975; 3.1 Phillip Lim skirt, $595; Petar Petrov turtleneck, $312; Foundrae necklace, $4450; Gabriela Hearst boots, $1390.
