Spring has arrived! And this is what I am building my Spring wardrobe around, some exquisitely tailored Nells Nelson designs. I fell in love with them months ago when designer Sisi Li showed them, and convinced her to cut a small group of pieces that we could make available to you.
My favorites start with a blazer in a pale, icy blue hue (it’s knit, super lightweight and comfortable), and a classic black suit with a well-cut trouser that is going to be an everyday staple, plus other pants, some exquisite shirts, a simple black dress, a sexy trench. If I packed this in a carry-on with a pair of jeans, and some extra tees (and one or two of Sisi’s Hermes bags she let me play with), it’s all I would need to get dressed for weeks on end almost anywhere. I’m going to break down the pieces here, and note, Sisi made small production run. If you purchase something on her site, please check “Yes” in the box at checkout that says “Friend of The Flair Index“, that way we can better understand what you like, because chances are, we will do this again come fall if it makes sense. If you have ?s, comment below, or DM one of us in IG (Nells/me) and we can help you out. I’ve noted sizing where I can. Also, we shot some on Sisi’s right hand, EB, who looks the best in everything (plus some model shots for details).
If you’re me, the Odette icy blue blazer in silk/cotton, $1495, with jeans, always (and a nice beat up Birkin, courtesy Sisi). The armhole in this jacket is snug, I took a size 40, but a 42 also worked.
Dress it up a bit with black for everyday like EB does (she is also wearing the Elise rib knit shirt and Lorraine safari pant, both in more detail below).
Better details on model, who is wearing the Odette blazer with Nicolette pants, $975, in icy blue superfine wool.
The black Lorraine safari pant in superfine Merino, $895, EB is wearing above, are great for everyday run-around, but also with heels and a silk blouse when you want to dress up.
Then the black suit. The Nadine jacket, $1440, hits at just the right spot, the back of the sleeves have Sisi’s signature knit panel for a slim, comfortable fit. I love the pants (see better details below).
The suit jacket, a white button-down (details below), jeans and another one of Sisi’s bags.
The Nicolette pant (matches Nadine blazer) $850, in detail. Note: It is the same pant style as the icy blue one shown above.
This elegant Mystique white shirt, $630, which you can button straight down, or use the side tab to cross it over. Just plain chic.
It’s funny, because I actually didn’t want to try this Paloma dress, $895, on (it’s a sample size 42, a 40 might be better for me), but I fell in love with it when I did. There is a tab on the side so it actually falls in an elegant way. Plus it’s cotton and cupro, so easy for day and night. Thought about putting the white shirt over it.
EB in the Paloma dress with the Camille trench coat, $1350, which is water repellant and has a sheen to it which makes it dressier and just different.
Me in the trench.
Trench details.
EB in the most ridiculous Celeste cashmere knit shirt, $980, which can be worn same way as white cotton one (buttoned straight down like a normal shirt, or crossed over). This to layer over a camisole now and under everything when it’s cold. Worn with the suit pant.
Cashmere shirt details.
The Elise cotton rib knit shirt , $565, (which I am wearing in top image and EB is wearing in her first image as well).
That’s it! There are a few more pieces on her site, but this is a good capsule wardrobe of versatile pieces you could live in. I hope you find something you like!

Everything is stunning and timeless, and you look great in it all. Her Hermes bag collection is scrumptious too.
