I know I haven’t posted about Fall much at all yet (was on Nantucket last week), more to come really soon, but first because they are selling out–Jane Birkin’s collaboration with A.P.C..
As Jean Touitou, founder of A.P.C., says, “Jane Birkin knows how to dress. This becomes obvious when you talk to her. She also knows how to give a very literary dimension to her attraction to this material or that shape.
So, we worked at trying to perfect all her daily outfits with her and under her guidance. I admit that, on the surface, it doesn’t look like anything special, because there’s nothing spectacular about it, except – using Jane’s own words – good basica materials that age well, because she likes to keep her clothing for years, and finishes that live up to their name.
In reality, she was the only person we could have done this kind of work with, which is, at the same time, a kind of return to our roots in terms of the Old A.P.C. work method.”
I do find some of the tees not super exciting, but I love the cargo and corduroy pants and they are selling out. Plus this oversized gray cashmere sweater–you can never have enough gray cashmere in my mind, is just like the one I stole from husband (and wore through two pregnancies and beyond). It’s a wear-forever piece.

Has anyone tried the cargo pants?

Have not. Bought cords. Size 38 and actually a bit roomy. You might be a 36.

Thank you so much, Jennifer!
