Next Friday I have a date with my older daughter to go to the Whitney Museum and I am not sure I have relished such an opportunity this much in a long time. To take in some culture, be inspired, people watch and actually get dressed–it sounds like heaven!
If you live in New York, I highly recommend that you go on the Whitney, Guggenheim, Met and MoMa sites and purchase timed tickets so you can help support our important cultural institutions. If you are a member, you have early access, and if you’re not, now would be a very good time to sign up. After the Whitney we are going to MoMa to see the Donald Judd exhibit that I saw right when it opened (and then closed two weeks later), maybe I will see you there!

Thank you for the photo of the late Sam Shepard. We regularly took our dogs to the same doggy day care in Santa Fe. I miss seeing him around town.
