I watched a couple of quick makeup tutorials, this one from Gucci Westman and another from Cayli Cavaco Reck from Knockout Beauty (which is not up right now, but be on the lookout for hers, they’re good), and realized that if I upgrade my makeup game just a little bit (which usually comprises of tinted moisturizer, a hint of bronzer, and mascara–at night some eye pencil and a shadow) that I might be happy with the results. Plus I want to keep a bit of the summer glow glowing for the next couple of months. Apparently layering is key and after watching those two videos I purchased a bunch of Westman Atelier products including the Beauty Butter Powder Bronzer in Coup de Soleil, the Super Loaded Tinted Highlight in Peau de Rose, the Lit Up Highlight Stick in Brulee, along with two brushes (I don’t own any?) the powder and the blender, AND….the Squeaky Clean Lip Oil in Nana (a nude). It is by far the most I’ve spent on makeup in decades, but I realized I really had fallen behind. I have yet to receive the Peau de Rose Highlight or the brushes, but I am in love with the other products (especially the lip oil, which I was very skeptical about). I do think the older you get, the less makeup you should wear (too much really ages you), however, strategically-blended, natural-looking, glowing-giving products are better than I would have imagined. Sometimes I’m a slow adopter. You can also shop all the products here at Knockout Beauty.

I am WOWED by Westman Atelier products and am not an easy sell. They are clean, go on beautifully, and are just plain pretty and natural looking. Sold!

LOVE everything Westman Atelier and literally think now that I officially have all her products like a bit of a super fan geek. Eek!

At first I rolled my eyes when Gucci came out with her line thinking, “another celeb line”, but her products are incredible and I’ve purchased almost the exact same ones that you have. I love her lip oil and recently picked up Garconne. It looks really bright in the tube, but on the lip, is actually just a bit brighter than Nana. Her brushes are wonderful to be sure. I also love that both she and the people who sell her products are educated in multiple ways to use them. Enjoy!

Do you know if knockout beauty does in person make up lessons? I need someone to help me choose colors and then show me how to apply it. I am 45 and makeup still confounds me! I need some HELP!

Excellent choices all. It really is such a great, thoughtfully composed line. If you looking to get even more, her Superloaded Highlighter in Peau de Pêche has more of a subtle shimmer than the sparklier Peau de Rosé. Great for daytime when you just need a bit of a lift (metaphoric and literal.)
