I haven’t talked much about Spring dressing, which is most likely due to the fact that I am not buying much these days, but suddenly I feel like I need something.
Two places I am looking for Spring pieces this week are Resee, which is having a pop-up at The Carlyle Hotel tomorrow through Thursday. If you don’t know Resee, they are a Paris-based designer resale site….but the really good stuff you covet. I recently bought this Phoebe era Celine shirt below (I know, it’s a LOT of color for me, but sometimes you need the boost) and can’t wait to see what other special pieces they have. Not sure you can still get an appointment, you could DM them to see if they have any cancellations or just be in the loop for the next time (or visit them in Paris).
The other trunk show is Attersee this Thursday through Saturday (which you can attend if you email them at rsvp@shopattersee.com to schedule an appointment, it’s at a private home…they are also going to CA). I have never tried their clothes on, but know so many women who have and love their designs. I am thinking a summery dress like below….I will report back.
Then, besides searching out pieces at those events, the sexy tuxedo vest and pants I bought from Nells Nelson, and the green silk trousers from Frances de Lourdes (I already have the black, think the green are great for Spring/Summer), I haven’t bought anything warm-weather for day time, which brings me to my decision. Drum roll…. A white pantsuit from Nili Lotan. Or an off-white pantsuit.
Why? Because a white suit is a canvas which you can change up depending upon your top and accessory choice, and at the same time it stands out when you dress in all white. The blazer is the Francoise in birdseye cotton (whatever that is), which you can find here and here, and the pants are the Flavie, which you can find in linen and cotton blend here and here. Plus I can wear each piece separately and often.
MOTHER’S DAY
My short list would include some of my new pendants (natch).
Anything in the Grandiflor scent from Poetica Botanicals, like the mist (for refreshing clothes) or the hand lotion.
A whisper weight cashmere scarf from Heidi Wynne.
A Knockout Beauty digital gift card, which I would use to book a facial, buy the new Westman Atelier Skin Activator Serum, the Agent Nateur holi(bright) glass resurfacing mask (it’s amazing), and the Costa Brazil Aroma Eau de Parfum because it smells like summer.
The Bottega Veneta Mini Sardine bag is really growing on me, someone should have it for Mother’s Day.
And finally, don’t you sometimes want a little bit of lace? La Perla embroidered chemise.

I wore a white linen pant (wide leg) suit to the ballet the other night with tan accessories and dull gold jewelry. Felt wonderful and current but very classic at the same time.

I remember that Celine shirt from the runway – it is wonderful and like all of her pieces, an unusual classic! Great list of gifts and your locket is on my Mother’s Day wishlist (the flowers I will likely get will be wonderful as well =)
