Summer unofficially starts this weekend, so I thought it was an appropriate time to post something so All-American and so summer-easy, the white shirt and jeans combo. You can go super basic with a button-down and vintage Levi’s, you can opt for a tank, a voluminous white blouse, baggy jeans, classic jeans, really whatever you are in the mood for. (Jeans should be a lighter wash.) Then accessorize to your heart’s content–gold jewelry layers, a scarf, sunglasses, a straw bag, strappy flat sandals, sneakers….barefoot. It seems like such a no-brainer, but it can still turn heads because very few people ever dress that simply. So….Here’s to the first long weekend of summer!

This is beautiful and all American. I appreciate your reminder about simplicity standing out. Sunita Kumar Nair has a CBK book coming out late this year—and I imagine that will be an enjoyable read!

I cannot wait to get my hands on the CBK coffee table book. I’m curious if there will be any never-before-seen images. November can’t come soon enough!

Your comment about so few people dressing simply jumped out at me. The ones that do always stand out. I have always tried to live by that.
