How often do you use a mask? I am trying to get in the habit of using one at least a couple of times a week and have started using new ones that come highly recommended. What’s in rotation now?
- Biologique-Recherche’s Vivant Mask. I tried this once and because it feels (looks and smells) like Vegemite I wasn’t a fan. But after two facialists, one Danuta Mieloch the owner of Rescue Spa praised the mask’s pore-cleaning abilities, I bought it. It has “live yeast extracts which are packed with amino acids and famously nourishing Vitamin B.” I do think it is improving the look and feel of my pores, but I am still getting used to the smell (sort of).
- SK-II Facial Treatment Mask. This is my go-to anytime I’ve taken a long flight or feel like my skin just looks tired and dehydrated. The secret ingredient is Pitera which is an intensive hydrating formula packed with amino acids, vitamins and minerals. This is also the kind of mask you want to use before a night out for an extra glow.
- Beautycounter #3 Balancing Facial Mask. A friend who is a Beautycounter ambassador slipped this in my bag recently. Packed with charcoal and salicylic acid, this is another pore-refining product. My daughter immediately stole it and her skin is glowing, so am sneaking it back. I want what she has.
