I love it when I discover some cool woman I’ve never heard of to obsess over a bit, and that person for me, right now, is Camille Cottin. She’s French, 42, and stars along with Matt Damon in the new movie, Stillwater. I am not sure I’m ready to go sit in a movie theater anytime soon, nor did the movie in get good reviews, but I am now on the lookout for more Camille sightings. She’s been photographed and interviewed for W Magazine and Vogue.com (which some of these images here are from), and while she might not be wearing her own clothes, they feel like an extension of her personality, not a costume. I find her look sophisticated, simple and sexy–a rare combo these days. Her black Dior evening dress she wore in Cannes is perfect. Although her role in Stillwater seems serious, she is best known in France for a Borat-style TV series where she pulled off madcap, hidden-camera pranks–I saw a clip where she went to Kensington Palace and climbed the gate (10 feet off the ground, in heels) yelling for Prince Harry (before he was married). So she’s chic, ballsy and funny. Love her.
She is THE star in the Netflix series ” Call my Agent” or “Dix Percent” in French. If you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend it. They just put out Season 4. It is super well written ( think Lupin), and each episode is funnier than the last.
Love her style- very modern and completely Parisian.
