I have been eyeing the Astrid pant from Frances de Lourdes for months, but in summer I hardly ever wear pants so it seemed pointless to invest. Now, it’s time. And after seeing my new favorite woman on IG, Neelam Ahooja, who has a thing for The Row and FDL, and has been wearing them nonstop (most recently to The Row show in Paris last week), her looks made me realize just how versatile and useful they will be. I love the slightly flared hem and how easy it is to wear them with everything from sneakers, to boots to heels. And follow Neelam; she’s exactly what I want from someone on Instagram, she’s older (like me), is no-nonsense, repeats outfits and mixes old with new. Yes, she does have an impressive The Row wardrobe, of which I’m slightly jealous, but I really enjoy seeing how she mixes things up.

But they’re polyester!
Yes, they are more akin to a nicer legging. High Sport does make a cotton/Lycra version but they are $860.
I actually like good quality polyester – it drapes beautifully. Lots of high-end designers use it.
I found FDL through you and wear their t shirts *constantly* from October through April. They are the best! (I am wearing one right now actually.)
