I ran this post last year, but it’s an evergreen. British makeup artist Mary Wiles is a go-to for A-list actresses including Naomi Watts, Kirsten Dunst, Saoirse Ronan and Cary Mulligan. Mary was also TFI’s first Flair Women and if you didn’t read her steps on how to get her signature glowing skin, it is something you don’t want to miss. I asked Mary to give TFI her favorite holiday makeup look, something she would do herself. Here, her five steps to holiday beauty.
Luminizer + BB Cream. Use Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base on highlight points–cheeks and temples, then Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream blended all over face. This combo gives a great dewey finish.
Lancome Blush Subtil All-in-One Contour/Blush & Highlighter Palette in Rose Flush is great for adding shape and color. It’s also a perfect touch-up palette to take day to evening to add more drama. The sculpt is a perfect shade to define eyes, too.
Curl lashes with lash star curler and apply Lashings of Lash Star Full Control Mascara top and bottom with both the thin wand and then the fuller brush. Repeat to achieve desired intensity. Blend Charlotte Tilbury lassic Audrey Eye Powder Pencil into the lash line. It’s so brilliant as it’s powder in a pencil that is really easy to control and apply.
For brows use MAC Sculpt Brow Pencil in Brun–I love the slant to this pencil—it helps to draw thin hair lines or fill in gaps. Apply Marc Jacobs Invisible Brow Tamer 30 to keep brows in place.
Exfoliate lips first, then apply Bite Matte Cream Lip Crayon in Muted Brandy all over lip and Bite Matte Cream Lip Crayon in Blood Orange in center of lower lip to add depth. I love these matte colors that stay in place regardless of drinking and eating.
