* I posted this last summer, but it’s that time of year again–when you shouldn’t leave the house without sunscreen, but probably don’t want to add a shiny layer to your everyday makeup. I used it all weekend and trust me, it works.
When I’m going to exercise, head to the beach, or go makeup free, I always use a Soleil Toujours product for my face–either the Soleil du Midi Mineral Sunscreen for the Face (SPF 45) or the Organic Set and Protect Micro Mist (SPF 30). But when I have meetings, am running around the city and want to wear makeup, I feel like my tinted moisturizer plus a sunscreen (maybe I’m doubling up, but you can’t be too careful) leaves me looking, shall we say, aggressively dewy. By the end of the day, I feel like it is all sliding down my face. The solution I just discovered? Colorescience Sunforgettable Brush On Shield (SPF 50). It is a tinted mineral powder with zinc and titanium dioxides that is not only easy to apply, it leaves you with a matte finish, and handily fits into the smallest bag, which means repeated touchups are a cinch. (Apparently you are supposed to reapply sunscreen every two hours.) It also protects against pollution and blue light, and comes in four shades so you can get a close skin tone match. A non-toxic sunscreen with the added beauty benefits? What are you waiting for?

I agree. I love this product. I wear it daily. Especially like it for skiing and hiking. So easy to apply.

Sunscreen powders are also great for those sensitive, but tough-to-apply areas like your scalp (along your part) and your ears! I even use it on the backs of my hands. And I always apply this to my kids’ scalps before going outside.

I was so disappointed in this product. It is so super dry and sets into all my lines making me look 100 years old!
